Anaheim located in Orange County, California, is listed as one of the safest cities for its size. With a population of about 350,000, it is the 10th most populated city in California (about 50th in the United States).

With its rapid growth in the “Platinum Triangle Area” and Anaheim Hills area, estimates by the city anticipate a possible growth of about 50% by 2014. It is currently the second most populated city in Orange County and is best known for the Disneyland Resort, Anaheim stadium, Honda Center, and the Anaheim Convention Center, which is the largest convention center on the west coast.

Anaheim's largest and most important industry is tourism. Its Anaheim Convention Center is home to many national conferences, with the Walt Disney Company being the city’s largest employer. Many of the local hotels, especially in the city's Resort district, serve theme park tourists and convention goers alike.

The largest private sector employer is the University of Southern California (USC) who contributes approximately $4 billion annually to the local economy.
